About ME

Dr A Vimala pursued her B.E. (1999) & M.E. (2002) from University College of Engineering (O.U.) and PhD (2014) from IIIT Hyderabad. She has extensive knowledge in the field of civil engineering with over 20 years of experience in the teaching profession and contributed her part to make civil engineering students a better fit for today's construction industry. She served in honorable roles of Head of Department (HOD) and Board of Studies (BOS) member at reputed engineering colleges. During her career as a professor, she refined the syllabus of civil engineering course to match with the current trends of construction practice, conducted conferences, training programs and workshops for faculty as well as students and performed quality checks in GHMC. With her passion to build the nation she started her own firm in 2007 after gaining experience as a structural engineer by working in a private organization. In the government sector, she played a key role in conducting 3rd party quality control for GHMC and in conducting vulnerability assessment of Nanded City. In the private sector, she designed and executed various civil engineering projects such as residential (including high-rise buildings) and commercial (including function halls). She is very much passionate to design the projects to suit to the generation change.
